Role Description
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for the development of new products and modification of existing products in waterproofing and construction chemicals range.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Responsibility Areas
(Please detail out at least 8-10 responsibility areas)
Key Performance Indicators
1) Conducting literature survey and experimental planning for new product development
2) Processing of batches and testing of the experimental designs as per the test protocol defined
3) Conducting application/ product validation trials at sites which can be located at different locations across India
4) Testing and analysis of benchmark samples
5) Evaluation of alternate RMs in the existing product formulation for suitability
6) Support to plant w.r.t. standardization of the product at PEL/ OPC
7) Maintaining appropriate and updated records of experiments in lab notebook & Optiva
8) Data tabulation and interpretation, technical report preparation and presentation at the review meetings
9) Customer complaint handling and resolution
Completion of all the activities assigned within stipulated timelines.
Maintaining proper records of activities in the lab register as well as Optiva.
Reproducibility and repeatability (R&R) of the work done.

Role Requirements / Specifications
Qualifications
M.Sc / B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Paints or Polymer or Chemistry with 1-5 years of R & D experience
Previous Experience
At least 1 year of R&D experience in waterproofing and construction chemical materials will be preferred
Functional Competencies
Should be conversant with water proofing products and construction chemicals like Admixture, IWC, Tile Adhesives, Mortars and Grouts, Crack filler, liquid applied waterproofing coatings, Epoxy/PU based injection grouts, Membranes etc. Basic knowledge of waterproofing and related product development, application and testing, handling of instruments related to waterproofing and construction chemical will be desirable.

Additional Requirements
Should be ready to travel to plants/ OPCs/ sites on short notice
