Job Description : We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Service Manager, ideally from a Learning Disability or Care sector background. Salary: £30,000 – £31,679.42 per annum

About the Services:
Ophir Road, close to the popular coastal town of Bournemouth is a residential service for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who express behaviours which others might find challenging.
With a friendly home from home environment, Ophir Road is a 1900s Victorian detached house spread across three floors. With four en-suite bedrooms, including a shared flat, it provides a small, personalised setting where the focus is very much around tailored support and helping the individuals who live there to have a fulfilled and meaningful life.
Being close to Bournemouth town centre and the lovely sandy beach, individuals are supported in accessing leisure and social activities of their choice within the local community. Individuals enjoy swimming, cinema, music clubs, bowling and attending day centres. There is a mini-bus on site and the home is also close to very good transport links and a national train and coach station.
Some individuals carry out work placements at a local company and nearby Colleges in Brockenhurst and Bournemouth offer opportunities for skills development and learning new interests. The friendly team encourage the individuals who live at Ophir to be as independent as possible, helping them to develop confidence with daily living skills, washing and cooking.
Family members and friends are always welcome to visit and join BBQs and social events at the home. A person centred approach starts with an individual transition plan to help individuals settle into the home.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Manager you will lead and work with a team to provide operational and strategic direction, setting clearly defined work objectives efficiently and effectively for both yourself and others and ensuring these are successfully achieved against agreed timelines and directives.
With the aim of enabling the service users to lead a valued and fulfilling life and to maximise their independence to enable them to achieve their full potential, ensuring that the service is run in an efficient and responsible manner, balancing the achievement of budget with the ethos of excellent quality.
Effective management of financial performance, ensuring financial resources are appropriately managed & controlled.
Promote quality assurance, working towards legal, clinical, statutory and organisational obligations, to develop effective work strategies and processes, to ensure that the business is run in an efficient and responsible manner, balancing the maximisation of profitability with the ethos of excellent quality.
Balance the level of acceptable risk against the need to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all concerned in all decision making. With the aim of enabling the service users to lead a valued, fulfilling life and to maximise their independence to enable them to achieve their full potential.
To actively promote a learning culture, seeking cost effective resources to maximise learning and development opportunities, ensuring that the training compliance levels are met and maintained.
Ensure full and accurate reporting of management information via CMT and the Compliance Report.

About You/Skills & Experience Required:
To join us, you’ll need to have plenty of experience working with those with learning disabilities or complex behaviours
You will have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Support and training towards Level 4 and 5 is available
A good knowledge of relevant H&S regulations
You’ll certainly have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
Confident, flexible, and efficient, you’re happy to work on a shift basis, and, where required, to be on call
