Job Description : We are seeking a committed professional who has a real passion for Mathematics. This position is ideal for either an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher. An NQT/teacher will receive the excellent support of an internal academy CPD programme but also externally across the Federation. You will join a very positive, willing and committed team who will challenge and support you.

We are looking for:

A dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher who has the potential to deliver up to A Level in MathsA committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their roleA collaborative and driven individual who will support the Humanities teamA Teacher who would like the opportunity to progress their career
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will:

Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degreeHave successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice), ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and of working in an 11-18 schoolUnderstand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learningUnderstand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students, and of being a tutorHave knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students’ workBe able to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staffHave a good level of ICT skills, ideally including innovative use of interactive white boardsBe able to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all studentsBe able to communicate positively with parents, carers and other external agencies where necessaryHave good written and spoken communication skillsBe able to lead and manage their own work effectivelyHave excellent time management skillsBe able to motivate students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
