THE ROLE
The Senior Active Directory Engineer is the lead technical capability responsible for Origin’s Active Directory/Azure AD environments and all related Active Directory services, with a primary focus on driving efficiencies through automation. In addition to core platform support, the engineer will advise stakeholders on recommended service architecture, roadmap and practices whilst also working collaboratively with teams across the business as required.

Key responsibilities include:

Act as a technical leader & advisor within Cloud & Infrastructure Operations to inform and guide stakeholders towards the most effective IT outcomes
Develop, document, and enforce the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of Azure AD/Active Directory and related systems.
Building a knowledge base and community of practice around technical expertise, frameworks and best practices on our chosen technologies
Perform proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demand.
Be the technical lead in projects to on board new customers and services to the directory platforms.
Develop & maintain automated processes to ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
Work with Microsoft support and other support providers as necessary in order to resolve problems and develop infrastructure solutions
Form strong and trusted relationships with the Service Owner, System Owner and all stakeholders; ensuring that the Owners are fully aware of the technical capabilities and shortcomings of the environment allowing for sensible technical investment and debt repayment decisions

Is This You?

You will demonstrate:
Must have previous large enterprise experience of advanced active directory automation including proven experience at deconstructing manual workflows and replacing them with automated workflows.
Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, AAD Connect, Conditional access, MFA, SSO, self-service password, Azure password protection, B2B, DNS, DHCP, KMS, group policy, PKI infrastructure, Azure Enterprise Applications and Azure App Proxy.
Expert-level knowledge of identity and access management solutions, protocols and integrations such as LDAP/Kerberos/SAML/OAUTH/RADIUS
Strong experience with (and ability to demonstrate capability with) automation & Infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
Very high competency in coding and/or scripting
Experience with delivering software through CI/CD pipeline
Experience working in cloud environments/IaaS – AWS, Azure.
