Your Role and Responsibilities
As Architect – Architect, design and deliver high performance business intelligence and data warehousing applications. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements, using complex SQL queries. Perform data analysis of complex data sets which is required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, automating data validation, optimizing data delivery, data migration etc.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Advanced working SQL experience and knowledge, including functions, triggers, etc. including the ability to write, analyse and debug complex SQL queries: 5 years
Advanced relational database design skills that includes a good understanding of database features such as indexes, views, partitions, materialized views, etc. as well as a good grasp for understanding the implications of using database features listed above: 5+ years
Experience building data pipelines from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Logstash, Spark, Kafka and AirFlow: 2+ years
Experience with designing/architecting data warehouses: 3+ years
Experience working with PostgreSQL: 1+ year(s)
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Experience architecting, designing, and delivering high performance business intelligence and data warehousing applications: 4+ years
Build, deploy, and maintain applications that manipulate, merge, and transform high volume datasets: 2+ years
Hands-on experience in data quality measures – data analysis/cleansing, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, data mining: 1+ year(s)
Experience in designing and implementing solutions to bring metadata from various sources into central repository: 1+ year(s)
Experience in scripting – one or more of Python, JavaScript, Bash etc.: 2+ years
Experience implementing processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders: 2+ years
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies: 1+ year(s)
Process oriented with great documentation skills: 2+ years
