Every show is focused on the artist.THE ROLEAs our Senior Finance Manager at Sofar, you’ll own the financial reporting of the Sofar Sounds Group. You will report to Patrick, VP Finance & Business Operations.Sofar has worked with over 30,000 artists, hosted over 1,000,000 fans at shows around the world and engages with millions more online each month. You will be part of a music-adoring team who are passionate about creating an industry-leading culture that supports artists and introduces their music to new fans.WHAT YOU’LL DOFinancial Reporting: deliver a well thought through month end pack to the VP Finance for review. Including ownership of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting processes. The SFM will proactively be identifying risk areas and areas of improvement in business unit profitability.Statutory Reporting: main point of contact for the annual statutory audit and responsible for the delivery of statutory accounts in a timely manner.Management: line management of Finance Ops Assistant and Assistant Management Accountant.Controls: Improvement of the financial control environment around Sofar’s payment to artists (circa 2,000 payments per month, doubling YOY) and Crew (Part Time staff who attend events). Eventual automation of these processes is a priority and you will be part of building that product.Payments: weekly payment approval in treasury tools for vendors and artists.Commercial: Constant promotion of profitable growth across the business. Commercial Finance support across the business. Examples include pricing, project costing, property cost analysis and anything with a $ or £ sign at the front…Accountability: Holding all areas of the business to account against KPIs so that decisions are made on facts and data.International expansion: currently Sofar trades in the UK, US and Canada. We will be expanding that over time and this role will be involved in the setting up of international compliance procedures.Company Secretarial duties : assisting the VP Finance and external counsel in investor relations and cap table management: EMI, ISO option grants, resolutionsEnhance our #spenditlikeitsyourown culturePolicy: Craft Financial policies that reflect Sofar’s unique culture, provide transparency and also controlKeep things loose and fun.
