Job Description : Position: Full Stack Software Engineer (React / NodeJS)Type: Permanent hireLocation: Hybrid (Lahore)Start date: As soon as practical for youAbout you: We’re searching for a full stack software engineer to support the development of our React web app and NodeJS platform. We’d like someone with experience in creating responsive web products who has worked on actual shipped products within an agile environment.We’d expect this person to have at least 8-10 years of full stack JavaScript development experience, but if you have less and think you’d fit this role well, please apply. We value adaptability and the ability to learn quickly over years of experience.We need a specialized generalist who is comfortable across many scenarios – workshops, high level strategic product design as well as the hands on engineering of robust software to deliver an outstanding overall user experience.We’re looking for someone who has a start-up mentality, who is excited to move fast, innovate and challenge assumptions.The successful candidate will have a good balance of a strong technical mindset with a pragmatic approach to engineering; someone who is focused on output whilst ensuring the final developed products are robust and maintainable.Initially, you’ll be working as part of a focused, cross-functional team of engineers and product specialists, supporting product development across the stack. We’re looking for someone that has excellent front and back end JavaScript skills, but who is also passionate about crafting a product that delivers a delightful user experience on the front end, and a robust platform on the back end.Ideally, you’ll have worked in lean environments, and will know how important it is to prioritize certain pieces of work over others in order to be able to quickly launch an MVP. We want our engineers to know when to pick their battles when it comes to business objectives vs tech limitations. You’ll have a strong knowledge and appreciation of the software development lifecycle, and know how to work closely with designers.You’ll be approachable and highly collaborative; willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, creating and exchanging ideas in order to find solutions to technical and business challenges. At the same time, you’ll be comfortable working under pressure in order to meet sometimes tight deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.About the role: Right now, we’re at an early stage of the process, and whilst we’ve decided on key features and the basic interface for our MVP, we’ve got a lot of work to do in building out the foundations of the platform. The role will require you to:Support the overall development of our product, including api integration, UI development, back end service development, unit and integration testing.Pay attention to non-functional aspects of the application, including security, accessibility, performance, responsive behavior, device support and browser compatibility.Have a strong core skill set revolving around JavaScript frameworks and tools, including React, TypeScript and Node.js, along with JavaScript site generators like Gatsby and NextJS.Be versatile and able to turn your hand to technical issues anywhere across the stack, whilst potentially having a slight preference or more experience in either front-end (React) or back-end (Node.js) development.Have extensive experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. jest, enzyme, react testing library, mocha, jasmine, Cypress) and be comfortable building out an extensive test suite to build resilience into our product and development operations.Incorporate and integrate our emerging design system and component library to the front end app, ensuring consistency as the product grows.Support the establishment of robust practices and processes that allow us to scale quickly and consistently, whilst maintaining appropriate levels of quality in all respects.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From Rs200,000.00 per monthApplication Deadline: 05/03/2022
