TraceTogether is a mobile application developed to support existing nationwide efforts to combat COVID-19, by enabling community-driven contact tracing. More information can be found at: https://www.tracetogether.gov.sg/
We are looking for a Quality Engineer who always strives to find innovative ways to improve product quality. Be part of a cross-functional development team for a large scale national strategic project. The team values quality, automation and user experience of the software we deliver.
You will be working with a high performance, cross-functional Agile team comprising of UI/UX Designers, Android and iOS Developers and Product Managers.
What you will be working on:
Champion and drive product quality and quality engineering practices.
Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet end-to-end quality objectives.
Lead the design, development and execution of test cases across both Android and iOS platforms in accordance with product requirements.
Drive development and improvement of continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
Your work will also involve interacting with a device lab with dozens of mobile devices for testing the contact-tracing effectiveness of the app. We run regular trials to validate our protocol, which requires trial design and execution.
What we are looking for:
Ability to lead the team in understanding and building good test and engineering practices.
Experience in automated testing tools/frameworks for mobile platforms is a must.
Good understanding of mobile (Android & iOS) technologies and the respective development tools.
Good technical communication skills, able to articulate to both the development team and business stakeholders.
Ability to generate creative and innovative solutions for test challenges and constraints.
Have a curious nature and willingness to challenge the status quo when it comes to product quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field is required.
5 years of experience in software engineering and test automation.
Strong experience in quality engineering practices and test case management.
Strong experience in developing automated tests for mobile platforms.
Good to Have:
Any experience with data analytics is a bonus.
Any experience or knowledge about phone hardware/ RF / Bluetooth technology is a huge advantage.
