YOUR ROLE

As a Release Engineer, you will be responsible for building a scalable release platform that provides a consistent process & automation to increase efficiency and reliability regardless of tech stack or architecture to deliver products and software components. You will collaborate with engineering teams to drive the benefits of Continuous Integration and Delivery while simplifying the release orchestration & migration.
THE REALLY GREAT THINGS YOU’LL BE DOING

Provide tactical direction and support for release related activities to support operations and efficiency of the development organization.
Establish processes and improve our tools for continuous build, automated testing and software releases including check-in validation rules and branch/merge processes.
Influence and drive operational excellence best practices within the organization.
Automating build, release/deployment, manual processes, and workflows while ensuring predictably, consistently and reliably
Support and improve the tooling, infrastructure, and processes that support rapid and reliable delivery of high-quality software.
Support deployment activities of development and production releases including troubleshooting of release blockers such as infrastructure, configuration, and code.
Mature existing lifecycle deployment process towards continuous deployment.
Work closely with development teams to create processes and tools that provide immediate feedback on source changes

WHAT LANDS YOU THIS ROLE

B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
5+ years’ experience across entire SDLC, CI/CD tools, with configuration & release management, deployments, and troubleshooting in cloud environments
Must have experience CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo/TravisCI / CircleCI
Must have experience of configuration management tool Ansible/Terraform
Strong coding ability in Python, Ruby, Groovy, and Shell with knowledge of GNU/Linux systems
Strong understanding of source code version control systems, Git, and code branching/merging strategies
Expertise with build and release tools such as Maven, Ant, Gradle
Experience with Docker, Containers technology and SonarQube
Strong experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Compute
