What You’ll Do in This Role to Add Value

Zaloni is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will set up, create, and manage the overall Cloud/ On Prem Big Data setup where Zaloni products are deployed for our premier customers. You will work closely with key stakeholders in our Platform Operations team and lead initiatives to meet customer support commitments. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong knowledge base on Big Data technologies like Spark, Hive, Python Scripting and experience on Big Data implementations with EMR or HDInsight, strong Linux skills and experience in implementing and supporting end-to-end data pipeline implementation. Zaloni’s Senior Software Engineers are skilled employees who apply strong engineering skills to implement and maintain Big Data platforms as well as use diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct failures, and document problems in the support solution database for diagnostics and solution implementation.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead, collaborate, troubleshoot and support Big data applications with a Global development team across US, UAE and India.
Write automation scripts and implement ways to cut down on repetitive manual effort of the team
Service level agreement monitoring and general maintenance of the production/ non- production environment of the customer base and ensure high availability.
Effectively communicate (initial response) support ticket information to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and ability to take issues to logical end
Strive for Continuous Service Improvement by leading System Optimization and Process evolution/ automations
Identify problems with low priority (P3 and P4), solve them through understanding, define them logically, and document them properly in the Support portal – Confluence or Wiki
Troubleshoot multiple types of environments and take ownership of problem isolation and resolution as well as bug reporting
Updation and Maintenance of technical and operational documentation
Drive and Escalate tickets/issues/tasks and assign within team for triage and resolution
Lead and coordinate for Deployment and Upgrade activities (Product, Infrastructure, Application)
Contribute and leverage knowledge sharing within team with KB articles, spikes and schedule overview and handover sessions.

Required Skills/Qualifications
Candidate with Bachelor in Computer Applications, Engineering degree or Higher Production
Support Background for Hadoop and Infrastructure and awareness of ITIL processes and Support framework.
Experience with Hadoop Administration , Installation , Migration of CDH to CDP , HDP to CDH
Data Canter Migration experience and experience in supporting end-to-end data pipeline implementation.
Knowledge on Active Directory Integration Experience on Upgrading MySQL and MySQL Server movement
Experience of Hadoop installation from the Linux Terminal (Backend)
Experience on Cluster Memory Tuning ,identifying the Cluster sizing during Hadoop Installation & Upgrade Implementation knowledge of Sentry, Ranger , Kerberos , Impersonation
Experience in Ticketing tools (Jira, Service Now etc) and relevant best practices
Cloud (like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack)
Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, Cloud Watch Deployment automation and orchestration (like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Kubernetes etc.)
Troubleshooting Skills by reading logs
Good communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Desired Skills/Experience

Certification in any of the technologies (CDH/AWS/Azure)
Prior experience as a mentor or working as a senior Hadoop Administrator in the project
Hands-on Capability on Tools
