Job Description
Work on App Services Engineering(ASE) strategic efforts – working on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks.
Provide level 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshooting issues in the Release Builds and Deployments.
Work on Application setup and support on physical / virtual / container platforms; troubleshooting OS and release issues.
Will operate as a Front end Engineer on Release process, builds, deployments and some devops tools.
Knowledge on Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Maven, Chef, docker, Kubernetes and RHEL.
Define and evolve Build & Release best practice by working within teams and educating the other stakeholder teams. These best practices should support traceability & auditability of change.
Ensure continuous availability of various Applications, Environments & tools supporting SCM & Release Management including Source Control, Containerization and Continuous Integration
Work with cross-functional co-located teams in release activities to enable higher developer productivity.
Find out opportunities on automation throughout the process for improving developer productivity and efficiency.
Work on Lower and stage environments. Provide support if any issues in Production.

Qualifications

BE or equivalent2+ years of hands-on experience in software industry in infrastructure and Devops.Should have hands on and good understanding on Release Engineering & Devops tools.Responsible for CI / CD process and issues with respect to release engineering.Knowledge on Source Control Tools such as GIT, Bitbucket
Expertise in CI/CD process implementation and tools such as JenkinsProficient in one or more scripting languages is a plus: Unix Shell, Perl, PythonWorking experience in Containerization, pipeline creation, Jenkins fileWorking knowledge of Chef or equivalent is a mustWorking knowledge in Containerization platform tools like, Docker, Docker swarmExperience on Enterprise High Availability PlatformsKnowledge and experience with Linux OS
Strong Desire to support development teams to fix the issues
