We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Senior Software Engineer in the Accounting, Tax and Practice Technology organization. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Have an Agile Mindset: Contribute as a member of an Agile development team to deliver high quality software solutions. Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-up, backlog refinement, and retrospective with a focus on continuous improvement.
Develop and Deliver: Collaborate with the team’s software engineers and analysts to implement necessary application features while adhering to established best practices. Ensure the quality of the application delivered to users.
Be a Team Player: Working in a collaborative team-oriented environment, you will share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams.
Be Innovative: You are empowered to try new approaches and learn new technologies. You will contribute innovative ideas, create solutions, and be accountable for end-to-end deliveries.
Be an Effective Communicator: Through active engagement and communication with cross-functional partners and team members, you will effectively articulate complex technical issues, share ideas and exhibit strong listening skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
5+ years of experience in software development
Strong web development experience including JavaScript, Angular, Typescript, JSON, CSS, Bootstrap
Strong knowledge of C# .NET, Rest API, SQL or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of accepted software engineering methods such as object-oriented programming and standard microservice patterns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
