Senior Software Engineer (Xamarin) £65,000
Head resourcing are working closely with our medical technology client to help to recruit a Senior Engineer who can assist service users including the health practitioners and patients across the UK running modules on Windows and mobile devices, integrating products with medical devices, clinical management systems and hospitals- all communicating back to a cloud based SAAS solution.

With some team growth and increased demand on the product suite, there is a requirement for a great Developer to join the team.
You’ll be joining the Patient Portal Team.
With regular and frequent deployments and development cycles you’ll be delivering value directly to teams, users, and customers as often as possible.
No two weeks or sprints are likely to be the same. With an extensive roadmap of stuff – some small, some big, some mundane, some crazy and experimental – but all aimed at improving the product experience.

Technologies being used
The products are developed using a range of technologies with a primary focus on .NET and Azure.
C#, .NET Core, Elasticsearch, SQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, ASP.NET.
Azure services – including Azure SQL, VMs, Identity Services, cloud Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory.
Our releases go up to the cloud and out to ~200 local sites so there’s a lot of automation using Azure DevOps & Octopus Deploy.
Other technology used throughout the company includes Git, Xamarin (iOS & Android), CEF, HTML/CSS, React.JS, WinForms, etc.

Even with the vital work we do, we still relax and have fun…
The UK office is located in Edinburgh city centre with stunning views of the city and castle.
Make a difference
You could join us to help deliver solutions that actively improve the healthcare of patients worldwide – all while working with a really supportive team who care deeply about the services we provide.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, friendly company that really does something meaningful in the world.

Requirements
You’ve got some decent and relevant commercial experience as software engineer / developer with .NET, Web and Xamarin
You’re good with secure, large-scale systems – You have demonstrable experience of high-performance, scalable, and secure software (e.g. SAAS products).
You’re good with a team – You work (and collaborate) well in a strong technical team and with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
You get difficult stuff done, you learn and understand things, and you do a great job at it – You’re a problem solver who keeps the quality of their work high.
You keep people updated (clearly) – You can translate between technical and non-technical information and make sure people know what’s going on.
You care – a focus on delivering great solutions for users is essential.

Even better if you have…
These are all *bonus* things – if you have experience with even a couple of these and think you’d be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you…
Healthy agile environments and working practices.
Working with a variety of Azure services.
Integrating with FHIR, HL7 or other interoperability protocols or projects.
Medical/Clinical domain experience.
You’ve previously worked in a software product company
