Let us tell you a little bit about the role….
As a Power Platform Developer, you will be working on the development, customization, and deployment of Power Apps and Dynamics 365 within CQC.
Whether working on one of our strategic programmes or developing a tactical solution with two-weeks to go live, you will plan and develop sets of related stories while working with other Digital disciplines to understand what needs to be built.
You will have the opportunity to develop and lead on common approaches across the organisation, and will take part in regular skills sharing forums within CQC.
You will also be responsible for our production services through our continuous improvement work streams as well as providing maintenance and 3rd line support.
What we’re looking for from you…
Whatever your background, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
Proficient in developing and supporting enterprise level Model Driven/D365 Apps.
Experience in developing web resources (html / JavaScript)
Experience in Dataverse Solution Management
Knowledge of reporting from Dataverse
Familiarity with the wider Microsoft stack and how it integrates with Power Platform.
Additionally, for those with a functional background:
Experience in customising and deploying Dynamics 365 CE apps (Customer Service/Sales/Field Service/Portal)
Experience of working with Business users to develop requirements into functioning software
Experience in coaching non-technical users
Or for those with a technical background:
Experience of developing in C#.net
Experience of developing custom workflow activities or PCF components
Experience in coaching technical users

Accountabilities:
Collaborate with others when necessary to review specifications and use these to build low code applications.
Design, develop and iterate from prototype to production-ready.
Understand security, accessibility and version control.
Collaborate with user researchers and represent users internally.
Understand the difference between user needs and desires of the user.
Champion user research to focus on all users.
Prioritise and define approaches to understand the user story, guiding others in doing so.
Offer recommendations on the best tools and methods to be used.
Manage the service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance targets.
Design solutions and services with security controls embedded.
Adapt to change, keeping aware of opportunities for innovation with new tools, approaches, and technology.
Learn from what has worked as well as what has not, being open to change and improvement and working in ‘smarter’, more focussed ways.
Log, analyse and manage problems in order to identify and implement the appropriate solution.
Ensure that problems are fixed according to SLA’s or in a timely manner providing proactive communication.
Collaborate with customers, DevOps Engineers and QA Engineers to develop and support automated integration, testing and deployment pipelines.
Provide oversight and assurance of suppliers and team members.
Provide technical cover for team member holiday, sickness and absence.
Coaching and mentoring of more junior members of the teams.
Have the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience to actively promote diversity and equality of opportunity, treat everyone with dignity and respect and avoid unlawful discrimination.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree-level, professional qualification or equivalent experience
Experience with design, development, test and maintenance of low-code applications.
Experience in at least one language to extend the platform e.g. JavaScript or C#.Net.
Good all-round low-code development experience, including awareness of best practices and standards such as accessibility, usability and web standards
Experience of delivering low-code solutions in an integrated environment, with an understanding of how to optimize solutions to gain performance and stability
Knowledge and experience of automation technology to support continual integration and continual deployment.
Demonstrable experience of working in multi-disciplinary Agile delivery teams.
Experience of adapting to change, applying engineering principles to new technologies.
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience of DevOps, including Configuration Management, Environment Management, Release Management and Automation.
Experience of Agile tools and processes e.g. Kanban, SCRUM, Trello, JIRA, SLACK, GitHub, etc.
