Job Description : We are working with a prestigious Chartered Accountancy Firm in York seeking a Senior Tax Manager . They have an impressive client list, the recognition of their peers and make a valuable contribution to the wider community.As a Senior Tax Manager you will be responsible for managing a small team and working on all tax activities including tax planning, tax compliance and preparation of business and personal tax returns. You will also be managing and growing a portfolio of clients and be comfortable being “hands on” operationally as well as strategically.As a Senior Tax Manager your role will involve:Managing and encouraging the tax team and be responsible for developing the department and its commitment to customer service excellence.Managing and grow a portfolio of clients who will depend on your expertise and advice on taxation.Attracting new clients and contribute to the success of the firm.Working alongside Client Managers and Directors to spot opportunities and flag any areas of risk for clients.Providing advice, tax updates, training, and encourage a supportive environment within your team.Billing, fee quotes & renewals and review debtors and WIP.Managing workflow of team members.Responsible for reviews of personal and business taxation for clients.Getting to know each client and their business so that you can add value with your tax expertise.Attending monthly Workflow/Manager meetings and Senior Managers meetingsTo secure this Senior Tax Manager position you will need:ICAEW/CTA qualificationGood all round knowledge of Tax (you can be trained on more specialist tax areas)To be an inspirational manager with good people management skillsTo be confident when it comes to advising clients and seek to build long-term relations by understanding their business and adding value.To champion customer service excellence.To thrive in a busy environment and deliver quality and accuracy in a timely manner.In return this company will offer you:24 days plus 8 bank holidays with incremental long service extra holidaysFlexible hour workingTime off in lieuHealth Care CoverPension matched up to 4.5%A fun, friendly and supportive environment.Structured induction period and process.Career development plans and progression opportunitiesRegular socials events.Hours:Ideally Mon to Fri – 37.5 hrs but would also consider a 4 day weekSalary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per yearJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to FridayReference ID: 28.02.22 Senior tax
