Job Description : About The Role
We are recruiting for a Service Leader to run our vital Mental Health service, Incefield House in Wigan. This is an Independent living service, based in the Community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has an established background in Mental Health, more specifically with experience of working within acute settings, community mental health and within a Recovery framework. The charity is moving towards a trauma-informed and psychosocial approach to complex mental health presentations, including enduring mental illness, dual diagnosis and personality disorder. You should be confident in developing person centred plans with robust crisis intervention and stabilisation strategies. Experience with structured clinical risk assessment and recovery outcome approaches is also desirable.
You will be part of supporting and transforming the lives of multiple individuals. Managing an enthusiastic team of support workers who all contribute to the ongoing support and care which enables the individuals to have independence, individuality, choice, privacy, rights and fulfilment.
Working as part of the Leadership Team in a very supportive, caring and values driven environment with the opportunity to develop further and forge a long-lasting career. You will also be able to draw on support from our newly established national Clinical Team including Clinical Psychology and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Your key responsibilities are as follows:
Promote and maintain a person-centred service with emphasis at all times on independence, individuality, rights, choice, privacy, and fulfilment.
Effectively manage the service, promoting teamwork with all staff
Development of services to ensure highest compliance with internal and external standards and the needs of the local community.
You will have responsibility for multiple services supporting up to 10 people with complex mental health presentations and comorbid conditions. This may also include people transitioning from a secure setting with some restrictions.”

About You
You must:
1. Have an NVQ level 5 in Social Care, working towards it or willing to complete.
2. Have experience within a leadership or senior role looking after people with complex needs across mental health, learning disabilities and physical needs. You should be experienced in managing teams of staff and monitoring, evaluating and improving performance.
3. Have a nursing qualification as Registered Mental Health Nurse
4. Possess a thorough knowledge of CQC and its remit within social care, risk management tools and their application, and an understanding of the mental capacity actand deprivation of liberty safeguarding protocols. A good knowledge of HR procedures, managing budgets and carrying out investigations is desirable. The successful candidate should have good IT skills and the ability to work independently with a positive and helpful attitude.
