Job Description : GDi are seeking a Software Developer to join our busy and growing R&D team. GDi are an Aberdeen-based engineering company specialising in innovating upstream Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business providing survey, asset management software, engineering/design, fabrication, and construction services to the energy sector. GDi are developing software tools that provide novel visualisations of productions plants, delivering massive savings in cost and time. The role of the developer is to support the delivery of these software applications and provide input for current and future software development opportunities within the sector.The applicant should be comfortable applying their programming skills to create novel functionality for an existing web application which will be used to increase engineering and integrity management efficiency. They should have excellent interpersonal skills as they will work within the closely-knit R&D team to deliver expeditiously.ResponsibilitiesMaintain current applicationsDevelopment of new applications / functionalityCreate technical specificationsProvide technical input into functional and user requirementsResearch new technologiesPresenting ideas for system improvementsTechnologies we work withExperience in the below technologies would be beneficial although not essential.
