Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of this role in zSW development team, you will be responsible for designing, development, writing test cases and customer reported issues for the product on OCP platform. As a part of the job, you will deliver solutions to Global customers applying modern Engineering Agile Practices on the product that run critical workloads and businesses. The job provides flexibility of the team to work across all phases of software development, support, and services. The role provides an opportunity to grow into architects, leads or product development managers over a period of time and grow as an expert on Cloud technologies. The job provides a unique blend to work on core features using a wide range of technologies from C, Linux, Go, Docker, Kubernetes and OCP.
As a FullStack developer of the product team, you will
Define quality experience for customers with insights from Product managers / Designers, design product features based on customer requirements, automate end-to-end unit tests, and fix issues from field.
Learn and apply deep technical skills, creativity and judgement to the analysis, development, and implementation of features over Docker, Kubernetes and OCP.
Understand and effectively execute using Agile and DevOps software development processes and procedures and innovate new approaches as appropriate.
Work as part of a highly skilled, friendly, lively, innovative, and enthusiastic team.
Submit patents that will contribute towards IBM’s intellectual property portfolio.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A minimum of 3 years of experience in C or Java, Linux
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OCP, Golang.
Understanding of OS fundamentals
Very strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work effectively remotely if required.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Knowledge of RDBMS Database or MongoDB database is preferred
Experience or knowledge in Agile methodology
Any knowledge or familiarity with JSP, Web services is a plus.
