The incumbent will be part of the development engineering team as an individual contributor. The candidate will be involved in the development of new features and maintenance of existing features and engaged in all phases of development, from early requirement and technical specifications to definition to development to release. They are encouraged to be a hands-on problem solver and well conversant in analyzing, designing, and implementing high-quality front-end interfaces for the product features.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include
Passion & capability to drive a product feature from design inception, development, QA testing then to production, ensuring high quality in the various software development lifecycle
Working in a highly agile Scrum-based process model.
Design, architecture & develop applications for reliability, scalability & maintainability
Write and test interactive, clean, secure, and efficient solutions
Solve non-trivial coding and architecture problems with simple and innovative solutions
Interfacing regularly with Product Management, Engineering Management, Architects, and Quality teams to deliver features.
Requirements
The key requirements of the position are
Strong concepts and programming skills in writing well-structured object-oriented code in Java.
Strong programming skills in front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Familiarity with the JavaScript libraries like JQuery, Underscore.
Experience in Git/Github or other version control systems.
Understanding of CI/CD and the build and deployment process for frontend applications like NPM.
Proven track record to implement front-end UI interface based on the designs provided by the design team.
Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to problems
Should be able to quickly adapt to new programming paradigms, languages, tools, and problem areas
Outstanding organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills (will need to work well with product managers, program managers, and various functional teams)
Should be self-managed, responsive, self-motivated, upbeat, and a fast learner
Familiarity with concepts related to Accessibility.
