Job summary
Alexa Smart Home is bringing the next generation of smart devices and experiences to Alexa customers. Within the Smart Home Customer Experience organization, we are looking for a talented Software Development Manager to become part of Smart Home Device Health. Device Health engages with teams across Alexa, Smart Home and our third-party partners to develop the tools and services that help customers solve device issues themselves. We help customers manage their smart homes better!
Key job responsibilities
Do you want to create and deliver services that help millions of customers around the world? We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager to join the Alexa Smart Home Device Health team. You will be responsible for leading an engineering team to deliver customer-facing features, from concept through design, development, launch and beyond. You will influence design and architecture, plan for Amazon scale, and lead development of services that will be used by customers every day.
A day in the life
You will be part of a leadership team that includes a Program Manager and a Product Manager. You will lead our development process, and be responsible for growing and mentoring your team. You will help them turn customer needs into technical requirements and development plans. You will lead and support your engineering team as they participate in daily standups, sprint planning, on-call rotation, address tickets, contribute to technical and business docs, and present to leadership.

Master’s degree in Computer Science
Experience working with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, EC2)
