Your Opportunity

Team is looking for a strong Software Engineer who will drive building next generation Walmart suite of products and platform by designing, coding, building and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based solutions. The role is expected to make a difference to the product in terms of the design and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. In addition to that, the role also demands to lead, motivate, mentor and provide ample guidance to the other team members with respect to technical challenges.

As a part of Enterprise Business Services @WalmartLabs team in India that works on building solutions various business functions for multiple Walmart markets, your design and solution will have a significant impact on day-to-day running of Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple countries, large number of users and data.

Your Responsibility

Build, test, deploy and support cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
Responsible to identify mode of issues quickly, the process and troubleshooting issues in an efficient way
Flexible to work on shift/on-call in a team when needed in order to do production support
Be involved in the successful implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
Work closely with the Tech Leads/Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
Participate in hiring and support to build teams
Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.

Your Qualifications

B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science
3- 8 years of experience in development or application support of highly – scalable applications and platform development in product based companies or R&D divisions.
Good knowledge in WorkForce Management domain ,preferably in WorkBrain or Kronos
Good in Java fundamentals and writing BDDs
Good exposure to design, implement, Test and Deploy Workbrain modules
Should have functional expertise in all the workbrain modules and good troubleshooting skills and analytical skills In for Workforce Management
Working knowledge on Linux platform and good in scripting
Good exposure in data analysis
Developing custom Workbrain APIs and functionalities
Hands-on experience building services using these technologies (Java, Springboot, Microservices )
Knowledge on Restful/SOAP web services
Knowledge on unit testing frameworks (Junit) and code quality control platforms like Sonar
CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps
Demonstrated ownership for development and design of a few modules/features in a product.
Working knowledge of SQL and DB-2 database technologies
Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
Good communication and interpersonal
Knowledge on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, GCP etc
Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies
