Our opportunity
Our Printer Driver development team focuses on the MFP driver releases, the driver customization deliveries and the printing solution supports across different Windows Operating Systems as well as various network environments to meet users’ desired printing process. They have an opportunity for a Software Engineer in our North Ryde Office, reporting to the Section Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to identify & fix issues in the existing printer drivers, determine & implement possible improvements, precisely grasp users’ requirements, catch up Windows new technologies and develop future world-class printing solutions.

Other Responsibilities:

Exploit Windows OS facilities and network environments and develop different Windows applications by using different programming languages: C/C++, C#, HTML/JS, Python scripting etc.;
Windows 10 UWP App development and code maintenance.
identify any issues in the way of error-try and provide the across-platform solutions (including both Windows and Linux OS) aligning with the existing print driver architecture and future advance printing solution;
Manipulate Windows graphic rendering objects (GDI)
Constantly seek possible improvement of driver functionalities and performance in the fashion of think-out-of-box;
Communicate with managers and teams in the definition of new solutions, feasible schedules and milestones, thus taking challenges of new technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree qualified (BE / BSc (Computing) or B Computer Science).
1-3 years experiences in MS Windows application development with C/C++. Up-to-date skills in MS GDI rendering, Windows core/user driver construction, image process solutions, multiple-threading programming, MS Cloud App etc. will be preferred.
Knowledge of MS C# language with about 1+ year exposure to real world application development.
Capacity of challenging existing project architecture across different OSs (including Windows and Linux) and drive the development towards future world-class printing solutions.
Experiences in the project repository management via Mercurial or Git along
Knowledge of HTML,CSS and JavaScript programming is desirable
Experience in Jira/Confluence is desirable
Knowledge and skill in project building and testing with Jam, CMake, Java and Python scripts is desirable.
Local experience will be desirable.
