The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:
Work with external partners and internal Dell technology, marketing and engineering teams to define and architect solutions related to telemetry and analytics
Perform analysis and design for medium-sized to large or complex development and maintenance projects
Develops complex code and configuration data using secure coding practices
Ensures that all code, configuration data, and system documentation is accurate, complete, understandable, and adheres to company standards
Address security vulnerabilities by using tools to assure security, analyze outputs, and recommend corrective actions

Essential Requirements
Hands-on experience with “big data” platforms and tools including data ingestion (batch & real time) and transformation (Hadoop, Hive, Map Reduce, Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch)
Hands-on experience with Data Modeling techniques like dimensional modeling etc.
Deep understanding of database and analytical technology platforms like MPP (Teradata, SQL DW), SQL Server and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, HBase, Cassandra)
Hands on experience with Data transformation technology platforms like Spark, Python, Scala, R, Hive, SQL
Deep understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and platforms specifically Azure (Azure stack – Azure streaming analytics, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
Desirable Requirements
Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
Experience with Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, TeamCity, and other Continuous Integration tools along with an understanding of the git source control system like GitHub, Stash etc.
