We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the Specialist Engineering.
In this role, you will:
Identify the opportunity for automation and design/build the end to end solutions.
Ensuring a stable PROD environment,
Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to understand and gather requirements to develop the best automation solutions and data products.
Coordinate and embed technical standards and help other team members to gain knowledge on Java and Calypso development.
Requirements
Relevant experience of working in PROD and Incident Management.
Excellent experience of handling crisis and disaster recovery.
Proven track record delivering Java applications gained through commercial experience.
Experience in all phases in the Development Life Cycle.
Relevant Experience of Working in PROD Support, Environments and Release Management.
Excellent knowledge of Unix, Java 8, SQL (Sybase), Windows Server.
Excellent/Good knowledge of Various Tools (CI/CD, Automation), Open Source Technologies and Cloud Services.
Unix Shell or PERL or Python Scripting.
Awareness of DevOps and AGILE principles.
Knowledge of Middleware Technologies preferably IBM WebSphere MQ.
Experience on Ticketing Tools like GSD or Service Now or Remedy.
Experience of Scheduling Tools like Control-M or Autosys.
Understanding/Knowledge of ITIL Framework will be an add on.
Good to have an experience on MicroService Architecture and applications.
Familiar with DevOps Tooling.
What ideal experience will be good to have?
Jenkins, Ant build, Maven, Continuous integration.
Ansible or Other Deployment Tools.
Version control tools like GIT, RTC.
Knowledge of JIRA or similar tracking tools.
Experience of Delphix, Docker/podman would be ideal.
Knowledge of Calypso as a back office system gained through experience with settlements and accounting functionality would be an add on.
Good to have an experience on REST API.
Experience of SQL and database procedures gained through either Sybase, Oracle or SQL-Server.
What essential skills / competencies will be good to have?
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Pragmatic / lean / agile development techniques
Comfortable operating in an “agile” development team, self-starting, motivated.
Takes ownership, pride in delivered work and self-driven.
Good timeline management and communication for delays, slippages under deadlines.
What additional skills will be good to have?
Knowledge of primary market Investment Banking products.
Knowledge of Fixed Income products
Knowledge of OTC derivative products such as Equity Derivatives, Commodities and FXOptions.
