Job Description : Sr. Advanced Software Engineer – Enterprise Applications

As an Enterprise Application Software Engineer you will be responsible for the developing and supporting Honeywell’s Voice Enterprise software platforms. You will deliver across the entire application life cycle (Concept, Design, Build, Deploy, Test and Release). You will be working directly with developers, testers, and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products. Other responsibilities include:
Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the enterprise and mobile technologies.
Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Working with global teams around the world.
Leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Supporting customer issues and escalations.
Creating safe and secure enterprise-level applications
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
8+ years developing and architecting Enterprise Java web applications in a commercial environment
5+ years with experience in developing, scripting, testing, and troubleshooting applications developed in the following languages:Java and UI scripting language (JavaScript, React, etc)
5+ years experience with Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and/or Struts frameworks
5+ years experience with SQL and Oracle databases
Experience building RESTful API’s to connect Android applications to backend services
Experience with Apache Tomcat or any other application server
Experience with Eclipse or any other IDE
Strong experience with writing Unit test cases

Experience with Honeywell Voice-based products or related technologies.
Experience with developing and design microservices along with API
Familiarity with Continuous Software Delivery and Deployment
Understanding of modern microservice-based architectures and methodologies
Strong logical reasoning and problem solving skills
Strong sense of ownership and drive
Strong communication skills
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
Experience leading projects
Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
Experience with HTML, CSS
Experience with Python
Experience with Linux
Experience with build tools like Maven, Ant
Experience with TCP/IP networks
Experience with cloud resources in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
Experience with static code analysis tools and security tools such as Coverity and BlackDuck Hub
