About the Role
This position is within Harman Automotive Division, located in Bangalore, India. In this position you will be part of a global team, you will contribute to the design and development of Voice Interaction in the Infotainment system. The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills, knowledge of engineering discipline, and strong understanding of programing in Java & C++ with relevant Voice user interface background.
What You Will Do:
Work on Speech domain which includes integrating the Voice Stack with the rest of the system on Automobile platform
Expect to do hands-on development work and expect good experience of Android and Linux.
In-depth experience in Android Application development on Embedded platform and mobile devices are preferred.
Automotive knowledge will be a plus.
Responsible for technical discussions with Customer, work with Supplier in technical deliveries and design discussions.
Responsible working with other teams for realizing features end to end of the voice features on the infotainment system.
Must be very knowledgeable and have the aptitude to learn new concepts.
Contribute to improvement of development and verification process and infrastructure
Support the deployment into the car
What You Need:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical/ Electronic or Computer Science.
5-8 years of experience in software development for real-time embedded.
Proficient in Java programing in Android, C/C++ proficiency
Solid understanding of RTOS
Solid understanding of Android OS, and IPC mechanisms in the same.
Linux/Posix programming background.
Self-motivated; results-driven individual. Must be passionate about the work.
Ability to work effectively within a global matrix environment
What is Nice to Have?
Prefer engineers with VR with exposer to Cerence Voice technologies background.
Prior experience in Voice dialog development will have added advantage.
Process oriented while still innovative, flexible, driven, and motivated.
Experience in working with globally distributed teams.
