Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructureWork with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & visionTranslate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standardsWork with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plansDrive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuseSupport process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activitiesWork cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverablesDrive world-class quality in the development and support of productsEnsure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and resultsEngage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledgeApply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing TechniquesWrite code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the projectUnderstand performance parameters and assess application performanceWork on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosenProactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 8 years
Technical Expertise:
Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
Experience in object oriented design methodology and various programming languages including Java/J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, OSGI, Web Services, HTML5, CSS3.
Good knowledge in Core Java, multithreading, J2EE, Spring, web services (REST, SOAP) and ORM technologies like hibernate, JPA.
Good Knowledge of KARAF & PLAY and OSGI frameworks, Node module packaging (NPM)
Knowledge in other programming languages including C++, Unix/shell scripting, etc
Experience in monitoring servers using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, HP Diagnostic, Grafana, NewRelic etc.
Ability to analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Garbage Collection and DB connections to verify the performance of the applications.
Hands-on experience of working on applications hosted on cloud (AWS/Azure)
Experience of Integration of automated test scripts, tools with build pipelines implemented using Jenkins.
Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/performance infrastructure.
Knowledge of Performance Engineering concepts such as JVM (Java Virtual Machine), Garbage collection ,Threading.
Knowledge of different facets of testing like Performance, Reliability, Scalability, Load, Stress,
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and inter-networking technologies (routing/switching, proxy, firewall, load balancing etc.) will be an added advantage
