Must Have

Minimum Qualification
B.S/MS in Engineering or related field with 10-12 years of experience.
Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages: C#, .NET, HTML, Java, JavaScript, C++, Python.
Experience developing verification strategy
Experience performing system-level or verification testing
Experience performing system requirement tracing to tests
Experience working in the Medical Device or other regulated industry
Experience capturing observations, developing key reports, and providing updates to the broader team
Understanding of combined hardware, software system architecture, demonstrated by either coursework or work in industry
Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills
Experience using SpecFlow, Cucumber, Coded UI.
Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Haves

Experience with software system to device interfaces
Experience with system engineering principles, especially verification and validations
Demonstrated domain knowledge and understands applications to assigned projects
Design/test experience working with regulated medical devices, , Experience with Cardiac Rhythm Management products
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement by studying and applying technical advances in area of expertise
Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma or related product development processes
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall software development methods.

Senior Systems Verification Engineer for the R&D Engineering function of Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center R&D facility. The individual will perform system integration and system verification for cardiac implantable products, design and executes test plan to produce reliable and successful products. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment. Interacts with Tech Lead, other developers, V&V engineers, internal partners and stakeholders concerning design, implementation or requirement clarifications, works closely with global sites.

A Day in the Life
Key Respobsibilities
Perform manual system integration testing for cardiac implantable products, features, and interfaces that consist of hardware and software components; capture, document, and communicate bugs, issues, and observations to project team; perform system-level troubleshooting
Understand scope of project use scenarios from interpretation of the system model and consultation with project systems engineers
Transform use scenarios into defined test cases; consult on and/or drive manual test strategy for various projects; design and modify test cases with standardized approach
Design and execute tests using automated test tools, as well as manual test development process, for the verification of system requirements.
Create and method validate test systems to ensure robust, appropriate methods are used
Execute system verification; troubleshoot test failures, identify source of issue, and collaborate with appropriate partners to for resolution; communicate with internal systems & functional experts at various levels
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.
Understand and execute best practices of Systems Engineering processes, advocate for high quality engineering.
Estimate effort and duration of tasks and develop and execute plans and strategies to complete the work on time.
Interface with product owners, system engineers, software developers to clarify expected system behavior.
Establish and maintain traceability from software requirements to verification test design and implementation.
Participate in the technical review of verification tests and results.
Assist scrum team with debugging and solving issues discovered during test.
Operate electronic testing equipment.
Prepare, review, submit, and maintain project/product documentation.
