Job Description
Locations: Mohali / Bangalore / Pune/ Hyderabad , India
The Mobile team at Zscaler is responsible for developing a cross-platform client application for Windows, MacOS, Android, IOS and Linux, to securely steer endpoint traffic to Zscaler cloud. You will be the MS Windows programming domain expert on this team and bring your endpoint software development experience to the team. You will ideally have worked on a VPN client or like client application and understand the intricacies of multi-version multi-platform client apps. This is a technical leadership position, you will be involved in all aspects of product development lifecycle – requirements discussion/analysis, design, scope estimation, planning, implementation, code reviews and unit testing, documentation, POCs, deployment and continuing engineering.

Responsibilities include:
Research Android platform, Security
Develop and maintain Android applications and frameworks
Work with product managers to translate the product requirements to technical requirements.
Translate designs and mock-ups into high quality code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Troubleshoot and resolve customer escalations

Qualifications

8+ years of exp on in Java programming AND/ OR C++
Strong experience and understanding of networking protocols is needed
Experience on Android internals (networking stack and device management) is preferred
Strong Experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI and different versions of Android is preferred
Experience with PKI, network security technologies and protocols preferred
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Desired Skills:
Experience implementing VPN , firewall type solutions on Android
Experience in security industry
Worked on platform-level component specific to Android
Experience or familiarity with iOS platform
