Registered Nurse – Band 5

Based in Cornwall, the Community Assessment and Treatment Unit (CATU) is a fast-paced ward with a wide variety of patients coming through our doors that are in need of acute medical interventions and setting rehabilitation goals. Our unit is continuously developing and is currently working towards opening a Same Day Admissions Unit. Therefore, this job role will enable you to gain a wealth of knowledge and skills that will extend daily.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is keen to work as a member of a diverse team but is also capable of making choices on their own whilst working as an advocate for our patients. We are looking for a nurse who is willing and keen to extend their skills and support the development of others.

As a Trust, we can offer a variety of developmental opportunities within training and education. These include venepuncture, cannulation, blood transfusions, catheter care, wound management and many more. Recently we have started allocating spaces on courses such and Non-Medical Prescribing and Advanced Care Practitioner allowing nurses to expand their knowledge and skills even further and pushing the boundaries of traditional nursing care.
