ESIC MODEL AND SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITAL ASRAMAM, KOLLAM invites
application for engagement of Part Time/Full Time Super Specialist and Senior Resident (3 year) in
different departments.
In case of Full time/Part Time Super Specialist, the engagement will be for a minimum period
of one year or till regular incumbent joins or attaining 70 years of age, whichever is earlier. The
contract would be extendable for a maximum of three years based on satisfactory performance.

Duties/Remuner Full Time Super Specialist: – To work as per ESIC norms for regular Super Specialists. Remuneration
ation. will be paid as per orders issued by ESIC Headquarters Office from time to time.
Consolidated Remuneration – Rs 2,00,000/- per month (Entry level).
Senior Level -2,40,000/- per month
Part- Time Super Specialist: – To work for 4hours session per day x four days in a week. (16 hours)
Remuneration – Rs1,00000/- per month. Additional Rs. 20,000/- admissible if willing to perform
emergency call duty.Rs 1200/- for additional every hour’s subject to the satisfaction of competent
authority
Consultant (Sr.Level) – Rs1,50,000/-month +20,000 admissible if willing to perform emergency call
duty+ ₹1500 for every additional hour work beyond 16 hrs(4 days X 4 hours) a week subject to the
satisfaction of competent authority
Age. Full Time Super Specialist: -Not exceeding 70 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation for SC, ST
& OBC as per rules.
Part- Time Super Specialist: -Not exceeding 70 years as on the date of interview.

Qualification & Experience required.

1.Super Specialist 1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third
(Senior Consultant) Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of
educational qualifications included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions

stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956).
2. Post -graduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Annexure-I or equivalent.
3. Eleven years’ experience in recognized institution in the concerned speciality after obtaining
the first Post Graduate Degree in the respective discipline/subject
Or
Ten years’ experience in recognized institution in the concerned speciality for the candidates
possessing 6 years recognized degree of M.Ch/DM in the respective discipline/subject

2.Super Specialist 1. A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third
(Entry Level) Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of
educational qualifications included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions

stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956).
2. Post -graduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Annexure-I or equivalent.
3. Five years’ experience in recognized institution in the concerned speciality after obtaining the
first Post Graduate Degree in the respective discipline/subject
Note 1 :In the case of holders of D.M./M.Ch. qualification of five years’ duration, the period of

senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said D.M. / M.Ch. shall be counted towards
requirement of five years’ experience

Duties/Remuneration To work as per ESIC norms for Senior Residency. Remuneration will be paid as
. per orders issued by ESIC Headquarters Office from time to time. (Level 11 as
per VIIthCPC. Total emoluments approximately Rs.1,10,000/-)
Age. Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation for SC, ST &
OBC as per rules.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

1. Application Fee (For All Posts) – Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) for General & OBC
Candidates and Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) for SC/ST candidates by way of Demand Draft drawn in
favour of ESI Saving Fund Account No.2 payable at Kollam.
2. PWD/Female applicants are exempted from Application Fee.
3. Those who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC category should produce valid caste certificate issued by the
Tahasildar / Revenue Divisional Officer. OBC certificate should be in the prescribed form as per
Government of India instructions which should certify that the candidates do not belong to Creamy
layers.
4. The selection will be based on an interview. Eligible candidates will be informed the date and time of
interview in due course through e-mail/mobile and the interview will be conducted at ESIC Model and
Super Speciality Hospital, Asramam, Kollam. The applicants should be present along with application in
the prescribed proforma, all original documents including caste certificate, one set of Xerox copies of all
original documents, two recent passport size photographs (one affixed on the application) and the
requisite application fee at the time.
5. Candidates who have already worked as Senior Resident for 3 years in any Central Institutions are not
eligible for the post of Senior Resident.
6. Private practice of any kind will not be allowed.
7. No TA/DA will be admissible for “Walk-in-Interview”.
8. Vacancies indicated above may change as per actual requirement on the date of interview.
9. Canvassing in any form shall be a disqualification.
10. The Selected Specialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period of
contractual engagement. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of
error and omissions committed by them while rendering professional services. The minimum sum assured
per annum should be (1)Rs.30 lakh for Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeon, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons
etc. (2) Rs. 20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynecologist, Obstetrician etc. (3) for Physicians Dentists,
Radiologists, Pathologists etc. it should be at least of Rs. 10 lakhs. A copy of the Insurance & Premium and
receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.
11. The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the appointee anytime even before the tenure without
assigning any reason by giving one month notice. Similarly, the engaged person will have to give one month prior
notice before resigning or will have to pay an amount equivalent to one month’s remuneration in lieu of the notice
period.
