Your Role and Responsibilities
Work as a As a Test Specialist, on design, development and support of the Management Console for IBM Power Servers
Operating Systems Test Experience with Unix/Linux.
Knowledge of end-to-end Jenkins jobs and management
Ability to handle testing and debugging tasks independently
Strong team player with good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
Interact with the other test teams (and Dev Team) to define test plans and test data; identify reproduce and defects; fix and verify defects.
Create/Update the test environment and code, execute automated test scenarios and environments.
Work with the development and system tests team to ensure product quality, usability, and serviceability.
Experience in continuous delivery and test practices with extensive usage of open-source DevOps tools and solutions.
Engineer is required to fully verify functions/components for a product/system to ensure it operates properly and meets the design specifications.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience: 2 to 5 years.
Necessary Skills:
An understanding of the software development life cycle for the product
Strong Programming skills :
Development skills in Core Java, Python Knowledge of RESTful web services.
Expertise in using Selenium for planning and designing the Automation
System Management stack software design & development
Strong debug and problem determination skills
Knowledge in Servers domain
Analytical skills, decision-making ability
Ability to work in a team, under schedule pressure, and maintain deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Candidates should have team-based software Test experience, be self-starters, demonstrated communicators, and able to work well with a group of peers.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience on tools like Jenkins, Git/Github, Gerrit or other equivalent tools.
Knowledge of IBM Power systems, virtualization, System Management will have added advantage.
