Job Description : This post is suitable for individuals who are enthusiastic about delivering excellent patient care and getting involved in medical education. It will allow you gain skills and experience in teaching whilst you also develop your knowledge and skills in psychiatry. You will be working alongside other keen and extremely passionate educationists and supportive team. Successful applicants will also be funded to study for a postgraduate qualification in medical Education with Newcastle University. A fantastic opportunity to add an educational qualification to your portfolio.

Formal teaching sessions: You will be actively involved in delivering regular teaching sessions as well as create and improve existing teaching sessions.
Resource development: You will be involved I the creation and development of teaching and learning resources
Clinical teaching: Active participation in bedside teaching in clinical areas, including formative assessments, assessment practice on the wards, observed history taking or formulation sessions whilst the students are based in clinical areas.
Facilitation of student feedback, during clinical placement
Pastoral support: Being able to provide pastoral support for students and supervision provided if there are concerns.
Student professionalism issues Familiarise yourself with processes in place to support professionalism issues.
Assessments: You are expected to familiarise yourself with the delivery of the various UG assessments as part of the curriculum
