Job Description : Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of technical and subject matter expertise in Directory Services and serve as a point of escalation for technical issues related to the service
Produce, deliver, and maintain appropriate documentation for systems in accordance with document control standards and procedures
Provide input to records, quality systems and management reports as required
Contribute to the definition and implementation of improved operability on new and current systems
Use innovative methods, including the redesign of process and providing technical solutions, to reduce the volume and mean time to recover incidents
Identify risks & issues, and take ownership, to deliver appropriate solutions
Provide technical expertise for root cause analysis and problem management
Provide detailed implementation plans across multiple, complex work streams, according to agreed standards, ensuring project processes and timelines are understood and followed
Collaborate with internal and external groups, when required, to fully support environments and maintain service
Adhere to change management procedures in defining, planning and implementing change in a way that ensures appropriate coordination with other teams, minimises service disruption, and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements
Provide specialist support during complex and/or major incidents. When required, lead recovery efforts during major incidents within business unit
Deputise for the team lead as required
Contribute to, and author, technical documentation
Review, and update as appropriate, operations procedures, standards, and technical policies
Collaborate with the business, third-party vendors, developers, application support and technical operations groups to resolve any issues impacting key applications
Stay abreast of recent developments in the Directory Services technical community, including new technology and business news that may impact vendors’ ability to provide service
Lead the analysis and design of complex solutions and requirements definition, including translating technical and business requirements into physical installations, costing design elements, and obtaining agreement to proposed solutions
Review and coordinate the implementation of proposed modifications and changes to the production environment
Provide direction into standards and procedures for monitoring, capacity planning, tuning, maintenance, performance optimisation, backups and recovery
Ensure stack of agents for management systems are properly installed and connected
Maintain patch levels in accordance with change management and security standards
What you will bring to the role:
In-depth expertise in supporting Active Directory & Azure AD in complex environments, at scale
Subject Matter Expert in Active Directory and Azure AD
Good technical breadth across O365 and IAM (SailPoint, MIM, Beyond Trust beneficial)
Comprehensive understanding of Identity & Access Management principles
Advanced understanding of PowerShell scripting
Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Calm under pressure
High level of professionalism
Ability to identify and manage priorities
Driven, proactive and solution-focused approach to work
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in working with ITIL-based service processes and functions (experience with ServiceNow beneficial)
Experience and knowledge of implementing technical solutions in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
Experience working in the financial services sector beneficial
