The position / About the Job:
In this job the Technical Designer would be responsible for:
Drafting of P&ID, layout and detail drawings for projects.
Develop and update design drawing.
Use computer-aided drafting (CAD), Auto Cad, Inventor, Cadison etc. to develop P&ID, layouts, drawings, and design in 2D and 3D.
Review engineering drawings, analyse design and retrieve information to complete drawing, layout or design.
Coordinate the planning of own design activities.
Maintenance of drawing database.
Support to Order handlers, Sales engineers, Project managers, Engineers, Workshop and Buyers.
Create item for purchase in our ERP system.
Attend & support review meetings in order to resolve issues pertaining to drawings.
Create as built drawings for the completed projects.
Key Working Relationship:
Internal
Engineering Manager / Team Leader – To understand key priorities/ tasks.
Process Engineer – To understand project specific requirements and day to day coordination.
Vessel Designer – To communicate & understand the requirements from design, manufacturing point of view.
External
Customers- To understand and finalised specific requirement of project.
Who you are?
As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible to prepare drawings like PID, layout, ducting, GA, fabrication drawings and 3D drawings for Projects
What you can be?
Mechanical Engineer graduate, having relevant experience as a technical designer.
Good knowledge of engineering codes & standards related to Process industries.
Knowledge in Autocad PDMS / Cadison /Inventor.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience with engineering work: preferably experience and knowledge about preparation of PID, Layouts, GA, ducting.
Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience as Technical Designer.
Experience in preparing plant layout in 3D and generation of isometrics.
Knowledge of tools for detailed piping engineering like; AutoCAD, PDMS, Cadison and Inventor, etc.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Knowledge of MS Office & MS Projects knowledge.
Good communication skills.
Drafting of P&ID, layout and detail drawings for projects.
Develop and update design drawing.
Use computer-aided drafting (CAD), Auto Cad, Inventor, Cadison etc. to develop P&ID, layouts, drawings, and design in 2D and 3D.
Develop item lists.
Coordinate the planning of own design activities.
Maintenance of drawing database.
