Summary of the Role
This is an individual contributor role within the Platforms Engineering and Automation division.
This role includes ownership of technical and service elements related to cloud migration projects along with building IaaS/PaaS infrastructure.
Design and implement cloud infrastructure services to support the migration of application and services from On-premise datacenter.
Main Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, ensure success in building and delivering the Amadeus Cloud Services which is a mix of Public and Private cloud platforms.
Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale application and services migrations to cloud.
Ability to quickly build and demonstrate Proof of Concepts and Proof of Technologies and contribute to Technology Innovation and Automation projects.
Able to work in fast paced work environments – Agile development and DevOps model.
Skills & Knowledge – Technical / Functional

Technical Skills
Hands on working experience with OpenStack, OpenShift or similar IaaS/PaaS skills, Kubernetes and Public cloud platforms – Azure (preferable), AWS and GCP.
Experience with designing cloud implementation architectures using Azure IaaS, PaaS and DevOps solutions.
Must have led large scale application & services migrations to Cloud platforms from On-premise datacenters.
Experience with various Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Source Code Repos and configuration management tools, technologies and best practices.
Strong knowledge on software development methodologies like SAFe Agile/Scrum/Kanban etc with a broad understanding of enterprise project life cycle.
Plan migration exercises and estimate efforts for projects/proposals.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to articulate technical topics.
Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
Must have experience working on provisioning and deployment tools like Azure ARM, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible and PowerShell.
Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores
Certification as an Azure Solutions Architect, Kubernetes, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus. (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.)
