Job description
The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester including the brand new multi-million-pound City Campus Manchester with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Network Security Tutor on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

As a Network Security Tutor, you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum including the new T Level framework.

In order to do this, you will need:

A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.

English and Maths – must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2.

To be able to demonstrate the delivery of general Computing & Digital subjects, which should include one or more of the following specific areas of specialism:

Network Security

CCNA CISCO Certified would be desirable or be willing to work towards the qualification
Data handling
Communication and digital support services
Cloud computing

Virtual and physical network infrastructure

A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism.

It would be desirable to be familiar with BTEC Programmes and knowledge of the new T-Level qualifications.
