VP – IT Applications – Finance and Customer Success

The VP – IT Applications, is a key leader in our Business Technology organization. The VP will lead a team to deliver enterprise systems empowering internal Business Groups and employees. The leader and the team will be responsible to deliver easy, scalable, compliant enterprise wide applications. The key focus would be leading a robust team in the Financial Transformation journey and also managing the Customer Success team.

This leader will work in a global ecosystem and partner with our internal business stakeholders to understand their business, strategy, long range plans, challenges and systems/functionality gaps to contribute towards a future state vision. This leader will lead teams that will build business cases to support modernization, evaluate/understand all aspects of organisational and program metrics, manage execution and partner with internal orgs to ensure alignment and a go forward strategy.

The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Technologies APAC

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for all stages of Application Development lifecycle for key business process groups such as Finance, Risk Management & Customer Success. This would include coordinating with other IT areas (i.e., IT Shared Services) outside of direct purview to get single IT view to the business
Organize and empower a leadership team of IT directors and managers to deliver on IT commitments
Partner with Business Unit executives to align business and IT strategies and roadmaps and to drive business partner success.
Partner outside the CIO organization across Salesforce to build synergies for delivering enterprise wide solutions.
Engage and use third-party applications and develop strategic partnerships to complement Salesforce technology, including leading Financial ERP systems and more
Responsible for maintaining culture, setting up recruiting strategies, implementing process to allow scale and, ultimately, creating the best IT organization in the market
Inspire, build, lead, retain, develop and grow a world-class, global technology team (technical, leadership, business, and functional skill sets)
Create an organization that delivers both compelling vision and deliverables that extend our market leadership
Required Skills/Experience
Experience in implementing global Financial Systems transformation programs encompassing Core Finance, Risk and Compliance (such as SOX) across Business Requirements, Engineering, Program management and change management
15+ years of experience managing a customer-focused IT team in a rapidly growing environment
10+ years managing, mentoring, motivating and growing a mature and goal-driven delivery team; must have strong history of developing people, both technically and professionally
6+ years experience leading a development team in an internal cloud-based IT organization, with strong preference for those who have managed in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong understanding of Enterprise’s needs around Data & Integration and it’s strategic importance for scale
Strong experience in implementing enterprise wide programs leveraging globally spread teams, managed directly or indirectly
Capable of managing ambiguity
Experience managing cloud application development and SOA architecture
Experience of systems integration post M&A would be highly desired
Capable of handling multiple applications/projects simultaneously
A passion for inspiring, mentoring, and developing people and delivering services that are scalable, high quality and consistently with reusability in mind
Ability to serve as a collaborative and effective partner with business unit executives; ability to influence decisions across functions
History of effective leadership focused on a collaborative, results-oriented culture
Clear communication skills with capability to facilitate deep technical conversations, leading a technical team within business, application, data, and technical architecture disciplines
