Job Description : Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wolfram Technology Consultant with expertise in finance to be a part of its Wolfram Technology Group department. A successful candidate would be a part of the Wolfram Technology Group team and provide consulting and support services to Wolfram clients, communicate customer feedback to other departments within the company and champion improvements to already exceptional products. The Wolfram Technology Consultant also trains clients on the functionality of Wolfram products, explains the benefits of using Wolfram products to potential clients and develops creative solutions to address individual client needs with the aid of Wolfram products. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of management. The candidate will be trained and is expected to grow into the role of Applications Developer.ResponsibilitiesDelivering consulting and support services to clients, especially in the areas of finance, economics and data scienceDeveloping Wolfram Language–based applications according to given specifications in the areas of finance, economics and data scienceWorking collaboratively with customers to develop applications in the areas of finance, economics and data scienceProviding advanced training to customers in different fields using Wolfram Language programmingHelping with the development and troubleshooting of Wolfram Language–based code and applicationsDeveloping materials highlighting the strengths and applications of Wolfram technologiesProviding internal training to other members of the Wolfram Technology Group in their areas of expertiseFollowing standard processes and proceduresDeveloping expertise in connecting Wolfram products to other programming languages and outside technologiesDocumenting program/model design, usage instructions and work progressDeveloping expertise in and expanding understanding of existing and forthcoming Wolfram technologiesRequired qualificationsExcellent problem-solving skillsProgramming experience in at least one programming languageResearch experience/teaching experience in finance and mathBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in finance with knowledge of several of: corporate finance, commercial banking, investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, etc.Open-minded and willing to explore new fieldsDesire and drive to learn and self-educateSelf-motivated and self-disciplinedExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishAbility to articulate ideas and instructionsDesire to work with clients on a daily basisInterested in growing into a Wolfram Technology Consultant and Applications DeveloperDesirable qualificationsData science, statistics and/or machine learning experienceApplied mathematics expertiseKnowledge of actuarial science/insuranceWolfram Language programming skillsParallel programming experienceFluency in a foreign language such as Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, etc.Location: Bhubaneswar, IndiaWolfram is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at its company.
