Role Description
Role Description: DevOps Engineer

This role is an exciting opportunity for a high energy, enterprising individual to join a high caliber team in shaping and scaling the career in DevOps using different tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Dockers, Containers, Kubernetes).

Role and responsibilities

Experience in setting up & Maintaining Elastic search, Fluentd/logStash, Kibana.
Experience in setting up Grafana, Prometheus, and Node exporter alert manager for K8’s environment.
Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline through Jenkins (CI/CD Pipeline) using declarative pipeline (groovy scripting) and integrating vault, sonarqube, Anchore (docker image scanner).
Configure applications such as Apache, NGINX, and HA proxy.
Experience managing 100’s of linux servers efficiently using infrastructure as code technology such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent, monitoring and auditing them.
Handling & resolving escalated Linux / Container / Prod incidents.
Linux system administration, OS, recovery, file systems, processes, containers, package management and shell scripting
Linux security (iptables, fw rules, SE Linux, OS hardening)
Virtual Desktop environments (VNC, NoMachine, Windows Remote Desktop)
Good scripting knowledge Bash / Python / Perl
Monitoring System Performance of Virtual memory, System events, Swapping, Disk utilization, CPU utilization
Linux patching (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS & SUSE), Installations,
Configuration of network, network protocols (DNS, NFS), and system security (sudo, ssh)

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

Experience on AWS native services, EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, EFS, EKS, ECS, Fargate, ECR, Cost Optimizer, Cloud front, Cloud Watch Logs, Cloud formation, Route53, ELB & ASG, Lambda, API Gateway & RDS.
Strong understanding of Network Connectivity like VPC Peering, VPN IPsec tunneling, IGW, NAT Gateway, AWS Direct connect.
Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
Knowledge on Redis, RabbitMQ, MySQL & PostgreSQL is an added advantage.
Excellent knowledge on DevOps tools, Like Jenkins, K8’s, Grafana, Prometheus, sonarqube, Anchore, AWS Cloud, Linux, Terraform /Ansible, Scripting, Nagios etc.
Excellent knowledge on ITIL processes like incident, problem & change management
Proficient in ITSM tools functionality like JIRA, Service Now etc.

Qualifications

3-5 years of total experience,
Any graduate from renowned university
