Role Description: Teradata Developer
You will be Senior Analyst for Big Data/Cloud Engineering consultant in Data and AI Organization of Incedo working in an Agile team of data engineers contributing to the Data Enablement by ingestion for the Data Warehousing and Big Data initiatives. You will be understanding the Ingestion requirements, designing the ETL/ELT Strategies and leading the development effort for the data pipelines using a varied tech stack for Batch & Real time data needs on different platforms of SQL Server, Teradata, On Premises Hadoop Cluster platforms. You will primarily enable Data Engineering high profile projects that include fetching, Loading, Transforming, Storing and present the data to the Business Clients for reporting.
Role and responsibilities
Compiling and analysing data, preparing the data for creating reports, providing information and/or data validation information regarding business specific data processing, tracking of processes & activities.
Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and implementation in support of the business processes, programs and/or services
Designing, building, and deploy new data pipelines within SQL Server, Teradata, Big Data Ecosystems with large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources
Documenting new/existing pipelines, Data Sources and Data Sets.
Building domain SME with good Data understanding & participating in the Business calls for data layers. Improve existing data pipelines by simplifying and increasing performance.
Performing a variety of ETL/ELT development activities with adequate technical & functional skills having niche skill set like very good experience in SQL Server, TD Utilities, UNIX Shell Scripting, Hadoop Eco tools, Spark, XML, JSON, Shell scripting, SQL, CI/CD Deployment & well versed with Agile Delivery, Sprint planning, DEVOPS concepts & tools etc..
Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,
Design, develop, maintain, monitor and execute production ETL processes using Informatica tools, Investigate production ETL issues / problems, Create proper technical documentation outlining the entire process.
Hands on experience in Batch processing, scheduling jobs in SQL Server, Teradata and SQL Programming/Querying. Performance tuning, including collecting statistics, analysing explains & determining which tables needed statistics.
Contributing to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to Architecture or new technologies and Mentoring junior employees and being ready to shoulder ad-hoc responsibilities as needed.
Nice-to-have skills
Agile development environment experience applying DEVOPS/AIOPS practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering
6+ years of previous relevant experience in MSBI, SQL Server 2016 & Teradata, big data engineer.
