Job Description : About the role and our team
Join the Older People Services as a Day Services Activity Support Worker!
You’ll work together with our small team to visit up to 15 service users a day with a range of needs including mobility, health and cognitive.
Your duties will include:
Ensuring the wellbeing and personal care needs of the individuals, as identified in support plans
Providing assistance with other tasks of daily living, which may include some cleaning, shopping, collection of pensions and paying bills
Communicating professionally, ensuring appropriate service user records in both paper and electronic format
Ensuring medication is stored and administered
Supporting and participating with service users in meal planning and preparation and dietary requirements
You’ll provide a diverse range of meaningful activities, both within the centre and in other community settings which support and enable positive risk taking, fun, friendship and independence.
