Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank’s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Job Duties & responsibilities :
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Work with outside data sources and API’s
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Required Experience :
A graduate in computers or Engineering from a reputed university.
5-8 years of proven software development experience.
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Proven . working experience in Android development
Have published at least 3-4 original Android apps
Experience working in MVP/MVVM/dragger design patterns.
Experience in Android studio, Android SDK, Java.
Experience working Web service REST / SOAP.
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Experience with Java IDEs (e.g. Android Studio, Eclipse), profilers, debuggers, revision control systems (e.g. GIT) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)
Hands on working knowledge on DevOps such as Bitbucket, Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Maven), Continuous Deployment (Jenkins). Should have the ability to configure a continuous integration/deployment working environment.
Exposure to Amazon Web Services will be a plus.
Experience in working with Financial / Banking applications.
Accountable for the production of high quality code on a personal level adhering to all software engineer quality standards / benchmark.
End to end software development life cycle.
Agile software development techniques.
Test driven development and knowledge testing automation / Unit testing.
Knowledge of Object oriented programming and Design concepts.
XML / JSON.
Experience in Gradle build system.
Introduction to Android debug tools such as DDMS, ADB, TraceView, . Hierarchy viewer etc.
Introduction Android UI design patterns and best practices
