This temporary position is available to start immediately and will end on January 6th, 2023. This is a dual role with 50% bookkeeping and 50% Office & facilities management. Based in London you will be responsible for all day to day accounting and administrative activities to make sure our stores, office and warehouses run like clockwork. You’ll be the connector, liaising with everyone within the company – from the UK to Sweden and Canada. You’ll also be one of the driving forces making our offices and stores as sustainable and environmentally responsible as our product. Day to day language is English. This is work from home/work from the office position (3 days in our Dalston office/2 days at home)Reporting to the Global Retail Director & The Accounting Manager in a matrix reporting system.Responsibilities: Preparing/managing purchase ordersRecording/coding financial transactions (invoices /expenses / journals)Handling accounts payable and receivablePaying regular bills for the companyMaintaining company ledgersBank accounts reconciliation, Soldo card and PayPal reconciliationFiling historical records and retrieving necessary documents as needed for othersLiaising with our Payroll department to ensure accurate payroll informationManaging HR system – new starters /leaversPayroll preparation and accountingProviding administrative and clerical support as neededAdditional bookkeeping duties as designated by management (prepayments / FA register )Completing tax forms, ONS SurveysProject assisting with new store openings (We have big plans!)Providing daily support for UK stores, warehouse and office assisting with maintenance and supplies and generally keeping the good ship Beyond Retro running smoothlyBe an administrative support to our Sweden OfficeYou will be the facilities management expert, knowing exactly who to call and when; booking and managing contracts for electricians, plumbers, builders, security alarm, key holding and waste removal etcContracts renewal , Insurance renewalPA support to the Managing Director and Director of FinanceArrange international travel, hotels, expensesPreferred Qualifications/CompetenciesDegree or equivalent experience in Bookkeeping5 years work experience in a similar roleKnowledge of Accounting Software preferably including Netsuite & QuickbooksExcited to promote sustainability throughout the businessStrong organisational skills, including high attention to details at all timesA strong communicator both written and verbalProactive team player, flexible, dependable, professional attitudeExperience in the retail fashion industry would be an assetExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA good human who cares about their peers : )What we can offer you: Career development opportunitiesDiscounted retail benefitsAn excellent EAP programWellness benefitsA chance to help the planet50% discount in storesFlexible working hours / working from homeJob Types: Full-time, TemporarySalary: £35,000.00 per yearBenefits:Casual dressEmployee discountFlexible scheduleStore discountsWellness programmesWork from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayExperience:UK Payroll: 2 years (required)Office Management: 2 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:Degree or equivalent experience in Bookkeeping (preferred)
