Job Description : Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of industry experience in data analysis. Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
Experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.).
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with data modeling and data warehouse.
Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Highly organized, ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little to no guidance and tight deadlines.

Shipping & Delivery Support (SDS) is a customer service organization dedicated to create world class support for these new customer segments.
The Shipping & Delivery Support organization is looking for a talented, driven, self-directed Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will generate insights that will guide operational excellence and product development for our customers. Data analysis is at the core Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team. You will be gathering customer insights, mining data, making recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world to gather insights using data from across Amazon. These efforts will change the way customers receive packages, developing solutions to delight customers, and solve logistical challenges at an Amazon scale.

An ideal candidate will be someone with broad technical background in data analytics, strong business acumen, high degree of ownership, and is customer obsessed. The successful candidate will also be a great communicator who can crisply communicate his/her analysis in non-technical terms to senior management. They will have a strong bias towards data-driven decision making and will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The candidate will also need to be a great collaborator who can work with internal and external teams to define and implement solutions that will yield benefits to Amazon customers around the world.

Key job responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders on developing plans to measure the impact of quality initiatives pre-launch and methodology to measure success post-launch.
Perform ad-hoc analyses critical to the business.
Create succinct, precise stakeholder communication, optimized for the intended audience.
Collaborate with partner teams on testing new tools that improve the customer experience.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL, data modeling, and working with “Big Data”
Excited to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to business intelligence and data analysis
Master’s degree (Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field)
Professional experience in forecasting or demand and supply planning.
