Responsibilities:

Drive complex deployments of Splunk while working side by side with the customers to solve their unique problems across a variety of use cases

Collaborate across the entire organization to bring access to product and technical teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation gathered from customer input

Leverage previous experiences, share best practices and create innovative solutions to push user adoption and maximize the value of Splunk

Enable customers to solve the next wave of questions on their own
Requirements
Must Haves:
Be comfortable within Linux/UNIX environments including, command line familiarity, and using unix system tools for troubleshooting (netstat, ps, iostat, vmstat, top, traceroute, tail, head, vi). More than merely navigating file systems. RegEx, Syslogs

Familiarity with Windows 64-bit environment.

Familiarity with networking essentials. More than ifconfig.

Experience with databases. Not DBA-level but indicates basic understanding of “data” as a whole.

Conversational fluency and understanding of storage tiers.

Familiarity with server-side scripting

Analytical, rational mindset for troubleshooting

Experience with consulting

Minimal restrictions on travel

Excellent customer service skills

Nice to Have:
Splunk Certified Professional Services Consultant

Familiarity with Big Data / Hadoop

Familiarity with Enterprise Security solutions

Familiarity with BI tools and visualization

Background in Development (Java / JavaScript / Python / J2EE)

Experience with VMWare

Experience with Microsoft Exchange / Active Directory
