The VMware center of Excellence team is looking for a world-class software engineer with Linux and/or vSphere driver development experience to join the driver development team. The engineer will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate should have solid system software development experience and have the ability to work with cross geo stakeholders. The work involves enabling next generation Intel technologies on the industry leading virtualization platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to grow their career and influence Intel’s growth in the data center technologies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical engineering with 8+ years of experience Solid understanding of computer architecture and server platform hardware Expertise in device driver development in C/C++ Expertise with internals of Linux and/or Windows operating systems Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Qualifications: Worked with VMM technologies like VMware/Xen/KVM/Hyper-VExperience with performance benchmarks: analysis and optimization Knowledgeable about FPGA, SR-IOV, SIOV, DMA and PCIe. Experience with storage and networking protocols Ability to mentor a team of engineers
