Job Description : Salary: Scale 5 (£22,183 to £24,491 pro-rata per annum, £18,684 to £20,628 actual per annum)
Contract: Permanent, full-time, term-time only
Nottingham University Samworth Academy is looking for a Communication Support Worker to join the team in the Focused Provision for Deaf students at the academy. As part of this strong and enthusiastic team, you will be required to support deaf students in mainstream classes throughout the secondary phase and help the development of strategies and programmes to raise pupil achievement and attainment which will involve some small group and 1:1 work within the Focused Provision Unit.
Candidates require at least a BSL level 2 qualification, ideally level 3 or working towards level 3, and some experience of working with deaf young people.
