Global Legal Network (GLN) is a group of professionals operating globally from 10 countries. It provides a broad spectrum of differentiated services – focused on delivering value and innovation. We partner with Legal teams across Accenture to build efficiencies and centres of excellence related to Legal services; and through our size, geographic spread and language diversity, the Global Legal Network is able to drive quality, agility and speed in our services, aligned to Accenture’s relentless focus on maximum efficiency and operational effectiveness.
CORE and Global Services (CGS) is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different legal areas such as Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Ethics, Procurement, Corporate Matters and the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations.
Offerings & Services Regulatory Compliance (OSRC) Role Summary – To support the OSRC Team in driving various Regulatory Compliance processes like reviewing deals to ensure Accenture’s compliance with regulations and maintaining licenses for Accenture’s services. To handle responsibilities related to people and process management as required for the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generic Responsibilities
Understand the CORE areasUnderstand relevant company policiesDevelop subject-matter expertise in the concerned support area
Act as a POC for support areaUnderstand and suggest process improvements in the support areaSupport LTO/CIO in development of new tool or enhancement of existing onesAssist team in drafting checklists and process documentsDirectly liaison with internal stakeholders on various issuesManage SharePoint and communication recordsIdentify and support any specific trainings for the teamSupport implementation of new initiatives in CORE support area or within Legal/GLNBuild credible and effective relationships with onshore counsels and within GLN teamSupport recruitment efforts for the teamSupervise resources, and assist GLN Team Lead in people management, as required
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior members of the teamProvide individuals with positive and developmental feedbackTry to ‘give back’ to GLN/Legal.

Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role
Manage and supervise allocation of work and delegation of tasks to team, per bandwidth and requirementQuality Analysis of Regulatory Reviews prepared by team MembersAssist Team Lead in coordination activities, managing workload and planning organizational adjustments in the TeamDeliver global training and help build key relationships with Business and internal teams and global stakeholdersHelp develop team members in higher complexity Reviews by knowledge transfer and training
Independently conduct Regulatory Reviews for various Offerings under the scope of the team.Manage medium to high complexity regulatory reviews.Recognize issues and provide timely escalation to OSRC Team Lead, OSRC Counsels, or appropriate stakeholdersDirect communication with business teams & internal stakeholders regarding specific regulatory matters.Act as escalation point for issues related to Regulatory Reviews and other similar processes
Interact with external counsel, manage ongoing research requests.Understand whether licenses are needed, determine how to obtain them, and acquire them for Accenture’s Offerings.Conduct and coordinate internal research projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered in agreed upon format.Participate in/lead strategic initiatives.Prepare presentations, email templates and newsletters.Elaborate, compare and refresh guidance documents.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law

Certifications and Membership:

Compliance related global professional certification considered a plus

Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing

Work Requirements:
Travel may be requiredFluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills

Good experience at law firm and/or as in-house counsel with experience in the regulatory and compliance areas.Good experience in generic/legal research and reporting, including due diligenceDemonstrate promptness, accuracy and consistency with the activities supported
