Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) is a major acute trust serving the people of Wigan and Leigh. The Finance department are seeking to employ an experienced and proficient NHS costing accountant to provide ‘Patient Level Costing Information’ (PLICS) and ‘Service Line Reporting’ (SLR) to WWL. The costing team at WWL are a multi award winning team with a focus on engagement, innovation, continuous improvement, and providing high quality information.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with previous costing or management accounts experience and a part or full CCAB qualification, to build upon their foundations. It is assumed you will be a forward thinking, confident and motivated individual with an analytical and logical approach to problem solving and excellent communication skills, and ideally a working knowledge of the NHS. The post holder must have access to transport to enable travel between hospital sites.

As part of the Strategic Financial Planning Department, reporting to the Senior Costing Accountant, you will provide financial support in driving the Trust’s Service Line Reporting and Patient Level Costing agenda forward. The post holder will be a key contributor into the development of costing projects and play a key role in the Trust’s National Cost Collection submission.

With excellent IT skills and experience of costing and costing systems you will be part of a team in delivering projects, meeting corporate deadlines, and influencing non-finance stakeholders across the Trust.
